Ulrich Herr

Born in Gotha in 1969, employment after leaving certificate, military service in the East German army (NVA). Then studies to become a teacher. The author of numerous essays on the military and uniforms in different journals and publications. From 2006 to 2010 secretary of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Heereskunde, since 2011 in the editorial department of the journal ‘Zeitschrift für Heereskunde’. Co-author of the illustrated volumes ‘The German Cavalry from 1871 to 1914’, ‘The German Infantry from 1871 to 1914’ and ‘The German Generals from 1871 to 1914’.
