Dr. phil. Thomas Müller
Dr. Phil., Dipl. Päd. (univ.) Oberstleutnant d. Res., born 1958, studied pedagogy at the Universität der Bundeswehr in Munich-Neubiberg while serving as an active officer (1978–1993). From 1991 he studied medieval and modern history in Regensburg and Munich. 1998, doctorate on the life of Konrad Krafft von Dellmensingen, the organiser and first leader of the Deutsche Alpenkorps and therefore progenitor of the German Mountain Troops. 2000–2006 head of the Waffenmuseum Suhl (Thüringen) and then head of the lecture hall and lecturer at the Army Medical Academy in Munich. From 2008 academic associate at the Bayerisches Armeemuseum in Ingolstadt in charge of the collections: artillery, old weapons, graphics and paintings, medals and decorations and large military equipment. Various publications on military history, mainly the First World War. Research focus: World War I, aerial and naval warfare.
